Bank of America QA Automation Analyst (Selenium, Java) in Plano, Texas
Key individual contributor to Quality Assurance (QA) project teams within T&O. Works with project teams to ensure standard quality practices/processes are followed. Conducts end-to-end testing on applications and technology, to ensure that business, technical, functional requirements are being met throughout the SDLC. Designs and Executes test scripts based upon test strategy/plans in an effort to identify defects prior to production. Tests may be manual, automated or both. May also include Production Certification which requires manual/automated scripts be executed to certify production health and/or identify post-production defects. Works as a member of the project team to ensure standard quality practices/processes are followed. Assists with data management. Typically requires 5-7 years of applicable experience.
Summary of Job Purpose:
Automation tester produces the testing strategy based on the requirements. The job requires the person to design, develop and executes the test scripts in an agile software development cycle. Effectively partner with the scrum teams and efficiently coordinate with offshore team for day to day project activities.
5+ years of software testing experience including API testing/XML
STRONG knowledge and hands on experience in developing test cases in CUCUMBER. Ability to create new or edit existing CUCUMBER test cases.
Hands on experience with Selenium WebDriver
Understand the automation concepts and evaluate automation requirements and needs.
Experience in working on project using matured AGILE Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodology.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Experience in converting business requirements into test cases/scenarios.
Experience in using one or more SDLC tools – Rally, JIRA or HP ALM
Strong past experience in Defect Management within AGILE environment.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or relevant discipline.
Experience in building in BPM or Automation BOTs.
Hands-On knowledge in OOPS concept, automation development, debugging and problem solving skills.
Experience in version control tools - Bit Bucket, SVN, Perforce.
Experience working with CICD automation tools like Jenkins, Ansible, Maven, Execution Factory, Litmus
Experience in building working relationships.
High-energy individual with excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
Working experience with On-shore / Off-shore models
Able to prioritize in a rapidly changing environment.
Ability to meet project deadlines.
Ability to manually execute test scripts and record defects for further tracking.
