Bank of America Front End JAVA Developer - Fixed Income, Currencies, Commodities (FICC) Transactional FX Technology in Plano, Texas

This position is for a Fulltime Employee to be located onsite in Plano, TX offices only, No remote option, C2C or contract roles
The Transactional FX team is a little slice of Agile in a big organization. We are a talented, experienced, and passionate group of technologists who pride ourselves on quality of delivery, continuous improvement, and a relaxed atmosphere. Our development team works with a wide range of technologies, encompassing the full Java ecosystem. This includes everything from pure front-end Web 2.0 development to Trading APIs writing in core Java and including enterprise messaging protocols.
We are seeking UI developers with a range of experience levels – from junior to senior – to join our team, grow with us, and teach us a few things along the way.
You will be responsible for developing and maintaining both internal and client-facing UI applications which integrate not only with our clients, but with most areas within the Bank through our existing APIs and new ones yet to be developed.
You will be working with one of Bank of America’s foremost Lean Agile development teams, using techniques from Scrum and Kanban development methodologies, with a strong focus on continuous improvement.
You will participate in all phases of the software development life cycle, which includes: Story writing, estimation, design, development, using and enhancing test automation tools, deployment, and ultimately owning the code you push to production.

Understanding and experience with React.js.
Familiarity with HTML5.
Experience with RESTful API.
Proficiency with Java and a reasonable subset of the following as befitting your experience level:

Additionally, it would be nice to have experience in any of the following:
Foreign Exchange Markets, Electronic Payments & Settlements, additional languages such as Scala, Python, Ruby, or Groovy, WebLogic Server, Big Data, MIS solutions
Have a proven ability to solve problems with technology - Can you describe a problem you’ve solved, the details of the solution, and why you chose the technology you used? Have you had demonstrated success developing large-scale sustainable applications?
Be passionate about quality, programming, and software development in general. Do you “sharpen the saw” and continually explore opportunities to improve? Are you a technology evangelist? Will you introduce the group to new technologies and approaches?
Be flexible with day-to-day responsibilities. Are you comfortable with working across multiple systems and potentially using multiple programming languages and technologies? Can you help with recruiting new talent?
Be organized. Are you able to remain productive even when you have multiple deliverables?
Demonstrate good judgment. Can you gain the trust of the immediate team and wider organization, in a short period, with the hope of working more independently?
