Bank of America Lead Systems Architect in Pennington, New Jersey

Job Description:

As a Lead Systems Architect, the candidate will be responsible for implementing intelligent automation solutions on platforms such as Pega BPM, Pega Robotics, Blue Prism, Workfusion and Appian BPM. In this role, you will demonstrate strong analytical and communications skills as well as draw upon your hands-on development experience.

Key Job Functions:

  • Provide input on project related technical matters, including development approaches, ad hoc technical issues and questions on environment and technical specifications

  • Translate complex business requirement into functional technical requirements

  • Take complete ownership of his or her development work

  • Provide development estimates

  • Work with functional staff to establish and clarify requirements

  • Participate and contribute to Backlog refinement and Sprint Planning

  • Provide direction to client stakeholders and leadership regarding the design, implementation, support of knowledge management solutions, architecture and hands-on development of Pega

  • Architects multi-tier scalable enterprise applications that are within the Pega Guardrails

Required Skills:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree with experience in implementing Business Process Management solutions on Pega BPM

  • Must be a Pega Certified Senior System Architect

  • 12+ years of IT experience

  • 5 to 8 years of hands on experience as a system architect working on multi-tier web application

  • 3 to 5 years of hands on experience working as the Pega Lead System Architect

  • Demonstrates ability to:

  • Solve complex problems

  • Develop software with minimal defects, minimal oversight & in accordance with best practices

  • Find and fix bugs in existing software

  • Work with teams

  • Deliver projects using Agile Development

  • Develop software according to best practices

  • Should have the ability to design and develop optimal BPM solutions

  • Ability to perform well under pressure

  • Demonstrates ability to clearly communicate Scope Creep and schedule slippage to the technical lead and project manager

  • Delivers task on-time

  • Demonstrates a strong understanding of business requirements

  • Demonstrates ability to work effectively with functional staff to establish and clarify requirements

Desired Skills:

  • Understanding of RPA infrastructure platform

  • Good understanding of Assisted/Attended vs Unassisted Robotics Implementations

  • 4-5 years of experience in RPA tools (i.e., OpenSpan, BluePrism, WorkFusion, etc.)

  • 3 years of extensive knowledge in Pega Robotics 8.0 (formerly OpenSpan) – Windows / Web / Mainframe/AS400 / Text Adapter with OpenSpan - Preferably in Financial Domain

  • Knowledge on Cognitive automation
