Bank of America Vice President - Global Banking and Markets COO / Business Controls Officer in New York, New York

Job Description:

Responsibilities:

  • Assess quality of supervisory commentary and re-perform supervisory review for trade alerts to ensure conformity with BAC Policy

  • Review electronic communications for Markets & Banking and assess whether they have been properly escalated and disposed

  • Assess quality of scenarios created for trade correlations

  • Proactively identify and recommend process improvements to enhance compliance with BAC Policy Requirements

  • Engage with BCO’s, as necessary, to discuss and review initial QA results

  • Develop subject matter expertise in Global Markets products and related market conduct to be viewed as an additional resource for BCO’s

Qualifications:

  • Three to five years of experience in a capital markets/trading environment

  • Preferred candidates will have a background in one or more of the following areas: Front Office, Middle Office, Operations, Finance, Governance

  • Strong knowledge of Global Markets lines of business

  • In depth understanding of financial instruments in at least one of the following areas: fixed income, currencies, commodities, and equities

  • Strong understanding of sales and trading functions; market regulations and practices, especially as it relates to market conduct

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Proven experience in a role that’s self-directed

  • Proven ability to manage timelines and display sound judgment to escalate issues as needed

  • Critical thinker, high energy, and intellectually curious
