Job Description:

Candidate typically has 7+ years of credit/workout/commercial loan experience or in an equivalent environment. The position reports to the SAG Region Executive. A Sr. Portfolio Officer manages a portfolio of Business Banking relationships in excess of $1 Million and typically meets with each account at the place of business. Has direct customer contact and is responsible for negotiating, crafting, seeking approval and implementing successful workoutstrategiesso the relationship can be rehabilitated and returned to the line or exited. Prepares and reviews credit underwritings and responsible for preparing recurring and special reports on a timely basis.

Required Skills:

  • Must have experience and working knowledge ofcommercial credit analysis, lending documents,and loan structuring. Experience in workouts and bankruptcy is a plus.

  • Needs to have excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Demonstrates sound judgment and acts with speed – able to achieve results quickly.

Desired Skills:

  • Should be highly motivated, self-starter with strong organizational skills.

  • Should have good negotiation and excellent time management skills.

  • Willing and able to mentor junior officers and analysts.

  • Familiarity of bank products such as treasury services, derivatives, commercial card, and deposits a plus.
