Bank of America Strategic Asset Liability Management Financial Manager in Charlotte, North Carolina

Job Description:

Work with Managing Director, SALM, and Optimization team in:

  • Developing an understanding of earnings, capital, and liquidity for the enterprise, including regulatory and business constraints, and familiarity with competitive positioning

  • Generating ideas that tangibly improve the Company's financial position

  • Building out integrated forecasting platform. Leveraging the platform to streamline and simplify CT forecasting processes with broader application to the CFO group.

  • Utilizing the integrated forecasting platform to enable and support risk / reward decisions

  • Developing optimization models that appropriately consider the various constraints the Company faces

  • Contributing to efforts on booking model, which will perform risk attribution for Treasury postions for use in Funds Transfer Pricing and other economic transfer discussions

  • Contributing to efforts on enterprise collateral management

  • Contributing to the build out of mature Treasury Asset Liability Council process, including identification of topics, participation in building presentations, and incorporation into upstream routines, as applicable

Enterprise Role Overview

Ensures accurate reporting of daily, weekly and monthly performance measurement related to Corporate Investments Group's portfolios. Research and develop the required infrastructure to support new products or trading/hedging strategies. Review all reporting related to Corporate Investments Group's portfolio.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree

  • 7-10 years’ experience in financial analysis, preferably in financial services industry with specialization in Treasury

  • Proven experience with the ability to evaluate initiatives and strategies in terms of balancing competing risks across treasury

  • Familiarity with major peer banks’ balance sheets

  • Works well broadly across disciplines, competencies, and teams

  • Builds relationships to drive solutions to problems

  • Distills complex topics into understandable content for targeted audiences

  • Experience with process design and operational excellence

  • Diligent, driven, and demonstrated leadership

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Microsoft Office

  • MBA, CFA, or CPA preferred

This role can be filled as a Corp Inv Finance Manager or as a Corp Inv Financial Analyst based on skills and experience.
