Bank of America Sr. Data Technology Analyst - Charlotte, NC in Charlotte, North Carolina
Understands and works across teams on all downstream provisioning requirements for the domain. Assists with an inventory of all applications in the data flow for the domain. Supports data domain adherence to EDM Standards, including implementation and monitoring of all required transport controls and maintenance of all required metadata. Assists in remediation of data incidents.
The Sr Data Technology Analyst position within the Enterprise Data Incident Management (eDIM) function is responsible for data incident governance and active QA review for assigned Data Domains and Front Line Units (FLUs) / Control Functions (CFs).
Data incidents are logged and managed in the eDIM tool. eDIM enables the bank to centrally track, raise awareness, escalate, and drive remediation of incidents that impact data. Enterprise Data Incident Management processes and capabilities are essential to Front Line Unit / Control Function adherence to Enterprise Data Management standards. These standards establish the data management good practices FLU/CFs are to follow to help ensure data completeness, accuracy and timeliness. Data incident governance and active QA helps FLUs/CFs adhere to enterprise data management standards for logging and remediation data issues.
This position is a member of the eDIM team that proactively assists FLUs/CFs and Data Domain representatives with review of logging requirements throughout the data incident remediation life cycle. eDIM consultants guide the incident submitter, remediator, and impacted parties in the following main areas:
Root cause Data Domain alignment to specify initial ownership
Data domain evaluation and acceptance
Impact Assessment, Risk Assessment, and Prioritization
Action Planning inclusive of potential risk acceptance justification
Required Job Skills:

Ability to work in a very detailed manner as well as to look broadly across a population and develop connections and themes identifying risk and concerns

Experience in data incident management (Data Defects, Data Enhancements, Authorized Data Source Adoption Gaps, Undocumented Lineage, Data Dictionary Interpretation, Controls Gaps, Process Gaps (Operations), Production Issues, Data Breach etc. – Capital “I” incidents. Not just data quality)
Desired Job Skills:
Prior QA experience highly preferred
Awareness/knowledge of Business Data Domains within the Bank of America
Knowledge of Bank of America Front Line Units, Control Functions, and products
Experience writing and reviewing risk statements with quantification of impact
Data lineage and Control environment evaluation
