Job Description:

GIF Finance seeks a qualified individual to support the transition to new FASB standards for Lease Accounting, and assist with the on-going process after 1/1/19 implementation date. The successful candidate will work in the Forecasting, Reporting, Analytics and Controls team, which supports the bank’s global technology infrastructure CTO organization, reporting to the Senior Finance Manager.

The new FASB Standard requires that we support new journal entries, account reconciliations, documentation and administration of SOX controls, disclosure requirements, and handle all compliance and audit requests. Sr. Financial Analyst will be expected to work with procurement area, Line of Business partners, and finance partners across the bank at all times.

The Sr. Financial Analyst will assist in the document development for new BAU accounting process and controls, as well as liaise with the third party administrator and Corporate Accounting Policy and execute controls going forward after implementation. The individual will need to learn use of software, design and use accounting reports, review journal entries from extracts received from the third party administrator, support account recons, and execute and document controls.

Required skills:

Accounting or Finance degree with 3 to 5 years experience

Intermediate knowledge of Excel

Desired Skills:

Sarbanes Oxley and/or Audit Experience a plus

Familiarity with lease accounting

Familiarity with Essbase
