Bank of America Data Analyst (SQL) in Charlotte, North Carolina

Job Description:

This position on the Data & Analytics Team within the Consumer and GWIM Finance organization is responsible for sales and product processing and reporting. Performs processing of sales data from various sources in order to provide weekly and monthly reports. Provides support and ad hoc data analysis to business partners. May implement improvements and changes to existing code and tools as well as implementing new solutions. This position requires the ability to work in multiple environments with multiple tools and programming languages.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Performing weekly and monthly sales and product processing and reporting

  • Supporting business partners with data requests and ad hoc queries.

  • Understanding and maintaining existing processing infrastructure including SQL Server, SAS, Autosys, SSRS, SSIS and Linux processes

  • Strong programming skills in SQL Server, SAS and shell scripting in order to extend and improve existing code.

  • Ability to interact with business partners and other teams

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 5-7 years of Data Analysis experience

  • 3-5 years SQL experience including advanced queries and complex inner and outer joins

  • Experience in report development using SAS, Excel, SSRS

  • Experience in Batch and ETL automation using AutoSys, SSIS

  • Excellent documentation skills

  • Handle multiple tasks and adapt to a constantly changing environment

  • Excellent organization skills

  • Ability to debug applications

  • Experience with the development models and software development lifecycle (SDLC) model

  • Able to communicate effectively across varied areas including technology, business units and senior leadership

  • Ability to work on multiple projects concurrently

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Technology or related field

Desired Skills & Experience:

  • Financial Services experience is a plus
