Job Description:

The Associate Relationship Manager (ARM) provides for internal sales as well as assisting the Relationship Manager (RM) in driving qualified wealth management referrals from industry groups covered by the RM. A strong working knowledge of wealth management and the Global Wealth & Investment Management (GWIM) organization, and all related product and solution types, is critical to success in the role. The ARM will interface with GBAM associates to facilitate GWIM related needs or inquiries. Additionally, a key component is working through opportunities and issues in partnership with Enterprise Business and Community Engagement (EBCE) colleagues, and local market GWIM leadership and advisors.

  • Responsible for driving partnership initiatives with the RMs through ongoing communication, training, and in person visits.

  • The ARM assists the RM in cultivating and maintaining strong relationships with GBAM and GWIM leadership and teams.

  • The ARM will provide product and industry expertise to GBAM and will consult on the viability of potential opportunities.

  • The ARM will effectively manage diverse sales related administrative functions for the industries that the RM covers.

  • This may include: compliance, coordination of certain projects, service quality, process improvement, and business continuity.

  • Consults across business lines in evaluating current methods and developing strategies to implement changes and improvements.

  • Requires a thorough knowledge of GWIM business units functional area or products, and working knowledge of general bank policies, programs and procedures.

  • The ARM will maintain a high level of expertise in wealth management solutions and will continually build and sharpen their expertise through their partnership with GWIM partners as well as ongoing training. They will demonstrate foundational knowledge in other BofAML product areas including Employee Benefits, Corporate and Investment Banking, consumer solutions and other enterprise-wide Commercial solutions.

Requirements include:

  • Must have excellent communication and analytical skills, strong presentation experience, strong PowerPoint and Excel skills, extremely organized, ability to work as part of team, and be a strategic and tactical thinker.

Desired Skills include:

  • 5 years of outside client facing sales, 5 years commercial banking experience and/or Global Markets experience.

  • Series 7 and 63/65 or 66.
